School Supplies Give-Away
8:00 - 12:00, July 30, 2005

We served about 642 children from over 150 families. When we ran out of actual bags of supplies, we gave vouchers for supplies from Good Samaritans, so no one will be without. We ran out of high school bags after just an hour compared to last year having 40 extra high school bags. You never know!

Each child received a bag of supplies from the county-wide supplies list for the appropriate grade, selected from:

Paper, ring binder, tab dividers, spiral notebook, composition notebook, subject folders, graph paper, box of Kleenex, ink pens, pencils, crayons, colored pencils, protractor, scissors, pencil box, erasers, glue sticks, calculator, and head phones.

	With the new building not quite complete, we used the old auditorium as a waiting area, showing Veggie Tale videos on the screen.

	Stacks and stacks of goodies...
	...that came in box after box...	... and wound up in bag after bag!



	Over 60 workers unpacked the boxes and then packed the bags the night before.

	On the way out, a New Testament and an invitation to VBS at Chuckles
